Ceramic Bowl Care & Safety
A quick inspection and a considered cleaning routine belong alongside every ceramic bowl.
Inspect before use
Look over the rim, interior, base and any pedestal before filling the bowl. Chips can leave sharp edges, while cracks can compromise the surface. Stop using a damaged bowl and move it away from pets and children. Do not attempt to conceal damage with a household repair and continue feeding from it.
Clean according to confirmed instructions
Remove leftovers appropriately and clean the serving area regularly. Follow the care instructions confirmed for the particular item. Do not assume every ceramic bowl can go in a dishwasher, microwave, oven or freezer. Pay attention to interior ridges and decorative exterior texture when cleaning, then allow the item to dry.
Avoid knocks and unsuitable temperature changes
Place ceramic on a level surface with enough space around it. Avoid locations where doors, active play or passing feet can knock it over. Handle separate bowls individually rather than allowing them to strike each other. Sudden or unsuitable temperature changes can affect ceramic; use the item only within its confirmed care guidance.
Choose a feeding arrangement for the animal
Observe your cat or dog when introducing a new shape. Give each pet enough room and separate feeding locations where necessary. A pedestal, shallow profile or ridged interior does not guarantee a health benefit. Consult a veterinarian for individual feeding or posture concerns, and keep the bowl out of rough play.
